Pearl Library

The 24,000 ft2 Public Library is located adjacent to the Pearl City Hall. The library design sets a precedent for future building within the City of Pearl and is providing a strong foundation for future development of an identifiable centrally located municipal complex and the creation of a downtown cityscape. The library was designed to provide something for everyone in an “open plan.” The new facility provides expanded services and space for patrons by doubling the square footage and volume capacity of the previous library. This includes a “Meeting Room” that will work in conjunction with the new Community/Meeting Rooms added to the City Hall. The facility adds a Business Center as a resource and a spacious Computer Training Room. Patrons experience a generous Children’s Area devoted to the Children’s Program for which the Pearl Library is known. The design for the library is sensitive to the adjacent City Hall and blends with the existing “art-deco” architectural style.
